Old-Fashioned Diamond Puzzle

In England this puzzle is also known as the Diamond Puzzle because it starts off as a diamond shape. It is a simple puzzle which is quick to make, but not so quick to solve!

What do you need to make this puzzle?

If you want to make this puzzle quickly download the figure, load the Bitmap file obtained into a drawing program, e.g. "Paint", and print it. Cut the shapes out and you can start to solve the puzzle. The pieces can be turned around and turned over.

However, if you want to make a more durable copy, trace the pieces onto triplex or perspex and then saw them out. When you have laid the pieces in a square, you can also decorate them in order to make the puzzle more difficult or easier.
